Property Tax Due Dates

  • May 15th - 1st Half Real Estate and Personal Property Taxes are due.
  • October 15th - 2nd Half Real Estate and Personal Property Taxes are due.
     
  • August 31st - 1st Half Manufactured Home Taxes are due.
  • November 15th - 2nd Half Manufactured Home Taxes are due.
     
  • May 15th - 1st Half  Agricultural Property Taxes are due. 
  • November 15th - 2nd Half  Agricultural Property Taxes are due. 

    If a due date falls on a weekend, the due date is extended to the following business day.  Your payment must be postmarked on or before the due date or penalties will apply.

Escrowed

Escrowed
Your lending institution may be escrowing your taxes for you. This means that you are paying a portion of your property tax in every payment you make to them. Your tax money is kept in a special escrow account. The escrow agent is responsible for paying your property taxes by the due date.
If you aren't certain if your taxes are escrowed, contact your mortgage company or lending institution.
 

MoneyGram

You can pay your property taxes via MoneyGram.  This option is offered through Official Payments Corporation.  For MoneyGram payments, Customer will pay Official Payments a service Fee of $4.99 for each Payment Transaction for the following payment types:
Real Estate Tax (Use Receive Code 12030), Personal Property Tax (Use Receive Code 12031), and Mobile Home Property Tax (Use Receive Code 12032).

E-Check

E-Check    Service fee is $1.95 per Payment Transaction.

Credit Cards


You can pay your property taxes with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit card. This option is offered through Official Payments Corporation.
 
If you are paying prior year taxes, you must call (218) 726-2383 for a payoff amount.
    
Debit Card or Credit Card
Paying Property Taxes with Debit Cards or Credit Cards (All payments are processed through Official Payments Corp.).  When you click on the logo for your payment type, you will be directed to the Parcel Tax Lookup screen.  Look up the tax statement you are paying on, and click on the "Pay Taxes" button to continue making your payment via debit or credit card: 
  
Debit Card   
When a VISA or MasterCard Debit Card is used for a tax payment, consumer will pay Official Payments a Service Fee of $3.95 for each Payment Transaction. 
Credit Cards     For all Tax Payments when credit cards are used, customer will pay Official Payments a Service Fee of 2.85% of the payment amount for each Payment Transaction, with a minimum Service Fee of $3.95 for the following payment types:  Real Estate Tax, Personal Property Tax, and Mobile Home Property Tax. 

Instructions for Paying Property Taxes with Credit Cards

 
You will need to know:
1.  Your parcel number and the amount of your tax. This information is on your property tax statement.
2.  If your taxes are delinquent, you will need to contact the County Auditor at 218-726-2383 to obtain the correct amount to pay.
Official Payments Corporation will charge you a fee for this service.
