Virginia Government Services Center
St. Louis County constructed a new two story 63,000 square foot government services center office building in downtown Virginia, Minnesota. The Public Health and Humans Services department began moving into the new facility on Tuesday, September 3, 2019; other departments, including the Assessor, Auditor, Environmental Services, Extension, Planning, and Veterans Services began moving in the week of September 9. County General Obligation Bond proceeds were used to finance the project. The County constructed the new building on an adjacent county owned parking lot. The final phase of the project will commence in the fall of 2019 in which the existing Northland Office Building will be rased to become the new parking lot. Landscaping will be completed in the spring of 2020.
