All St. Louis County offices are open to the public.  Currently, the COVID-19 Community Level is medium in St. Louis County. People at high risk for severe illness should talk to their healthcare provider about whether to wear a mask and take other precautions.

Fingerprinting Appointments:

We are able to fingerprint for non-criminal purposes including, but not limited to, adoptions, job applications, professional licensing, identification and immigration.

For all other types of fingerprinting, involving criminal cases, suspense files, probation, and/or interstate compacts, please call: 218-726-2372

Appointments are scheduled online using the appropriate link below. Alternatively, you can call one of our offices using the contact information on this page.

The soonest appointment slots fill up fast, and applicants may have to schedule their appointment(s) weeks in advance.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office charges a fee of $25 - payable in check, certified check, money order or credit card - and requires a valid photo I.D. at the time of fingerprinting.

Our LIVESCAN® fingerprinting device uses an entirely ink-less & digital technology, and prints on federal FD-258 background cards.

We provide two copies of these fingerprint cards with your fee.
