Purchasing Responsibilities

The Purchasing Division has the responsibility to make the most economical acquisition of quality materials and services that will assure efficient operation of county government.

Responsibilities include the purchasing or contracting for all supplies, materials, equipment and contractual services required by any County department; and to transfer equipment to or between County departments, and/or handle sales of surplus equipment, supplies and materials.

The services and activities of St. Louis County's Purchasing Division are in accordance with Minnesota Statutes and St. Louis County Purchasing Rules and Regulations, adopted by the County Board.
