2011 statistics

Of the 147,152 emergency 911 calls received for Duluth, Virginia, and the consolidated 911 call center 118,968 calls or 80.8% were answered within 1-5 seconds.

This accounts for more than 244,044 calls (911 and non-emergency) answered by the St. Louis County call center which consolidated in November of 2011.

For the period of January to October there were 129,815 calls to the Duluth call center.  95.6% were answered in less than 10 seconds.

For the period of January to October there were 79,023 calls to the Virginia call center.  96.9% were answered in less than 10 seconds.

In November the Duluth and Virginia call centers combined into a consolidated 911 Center.  During the November to December time period, there were 35,206 calls.  93.2% were answered in less than 10 seconds.  

St. Louis County 911 serves 185 jurisdictions with law enforcement, emergency medical services, ambulance and fire.

2010 Statistics

Of the 145,145 emergency 911 calls received for Duluth and Virginia, 117,697 (81.1%) were answered within 1-5 seconds.

This accounts for more than 157,026 calls (911 and non-emergency) answered by the Duluth call center and more than 94,568 (911 and non-emergency) calls answered by the Virginia call center.

Of the 157,026 calls to Duluth, 94.8% were answered in less than 10 seconds.

Of the 94,568 calls to Virginia, 98.6% were answered in less than 10 seconds.
