Sustainable Forest Incentive Act (SFIA)
The Sustainable Forest Incentive Act provides state incentive payments to private forest landowners for practicing good stewardship and management of their forest land. The program is administered by the Minnesota Department of Revenue.
Current year applications and covenants, which are part of the application, may be found on the Minnesota Department of Revenue website. Application forms and instructions are also available at the County Assessor offices in Duluth, Ely, Hibbing, and Virginia.
