Chemical Awareness Prevention & Education (CAPE) Coalition

CAPE Coalition

The Chemical Awareness Prevention and Education (CAPE) Coalition is a group of professionals and community members from around the Quad Cities’ region (Virginia, Eveleth, Gilbert, and Mountain Iron) working to address the entire continuum of health around substance use, from prevention through recovery. We work together to raise awareness, correct misperceptions regarding use rates, increase education, and reduce stigma that may inhibit recovery. We see the good that exists in our communities, and work to grow it.

Our meetings are generally hybrid and held the fourth Thursday of each month. All are welcome to attend, please contact us for further information and location details.

Mission/Vision

Our mission is to promote awareness surrounding chemical misuse through prevention, intervention, education, and recovery, aimed at building healthy and safe individuals and families within the Quad Cities of Virginia, Eveleth, Gilbert, and Mountain Iron.

Our vision is that the Quad Cities’ community will be a place where people embrace a healthy lifestyle, free from substance misuse.
