If your property was damaged in the recent wildfires in St. Louis County, please fill out this form:

The information will be used for future communication relating to potential relief.
 
Property owners may be eligible for property tax relief if an assessed structure on their property sustained damage totaling 50% or more of its value, or if the property is homesteaded and the house and garage sustained any damage. Property tax relief may include property tax abatements in the year of the disaster, and property tax credits for taxes payable in the year following the disaster. 

Property owners with questions about the disaster assessment process, or property tax relief programs should contact the St. Louis County Assessor’s office at 218-726-2304 or visit Disaster Relief.

Emergency Management at St. Louis County

The role of emergency management is to protect lives, property, and environment from natural and/or human-made disasters through preparation, mitigation, response and recovery and to maximize the protection and promotion of public safety, health and welfare during large-scale emergencies. Emergency Management is a division of St. Louis County run out of the Sheriff office.
 

Emergency Preparedness at St. Louis County

Emergency Preparedness is a unit based out of the department of Public Health responsible for mass care during emergencies in the county. In a public health emergency, we partner with staff from St. Louis County Emergency Management. Together, we work on coordinating temporary shelter locations, organizing and conducting the mass dispensing of vaccines or medicines to the community, sharing information, and providing other public health resource
